Rain, and a campout turned poison

As many of you have heard, LA has received more rain in the last week than we usually do in a year!! There are a lot of communities (especially those that were burned this fall) that are flooding. going home last Thursday, I had to step in a 2 inch "river" that ran right in front of the parking lot where I have to park. With all of this going on, Vale has not been feeling well. So, I kept him home Friday and told him that if he wanted to go on his camp out, he would have to take a nap and get a lot of rest. I would only let him go if was feeling better. It was a miracle!! Vale felt better by the time it was time to go to the camp out.

Sunday morning, Vale woke up and said that his back was very itchy. Sure enough, Vale had poison oak along his waistline and by the time he got home from church, his lower back was covered with a red rash. By this morning, his face and whole back was covered with the nasty rash.

Otherwise, all is well and not much is going on with us... just trying to keep our umbrellas up and galoshes on!!

Poor Vale!

We had a ton of rain yesterday. The street in front of our house was a river. Heather said she couldn't sleep because she was afraid we were going to have a flood.
