A Day with Dahlia

The forcast for Memorial Day weekend looked bleak at best: rain, rain and more rain... which meant no beaches for us. We decided to go to San Diego to visit my good friend Claudia who of course has the darling Dahlia. Although it took over 3 hours to get there (normally takes 2 at best), we had a good time visiting and playing with Dahlia. We even went to our favoriate resturant Tio Leos and had some great Mexican food.

The Silver Bullet

I'm going to try this again... Vale riding the Silver Bullet. It was a fun ride, but I was dizzy for a good 1/2 hour after I rode it. This video is only of the first 30 seconds or so of the ride, but you get the gist after 2minutes 9 seconds of this... it's no wonder I was sick and Vale was heaving over a garbage can.

The Best Day EVER!

What do you get on a Wednesday, 80 degree weather and a nice cool breeze? A great day at Knotts Berry Farm!

This week we were expecting company who wasn't able to make the trip. Being the good mother that I am, I decided that although tornados and ice storms kept our company away, I was going to keep my promise. A day at Knotts

We got there when the park opened, and were on our way home by 3pm. There were hardly any people there... mostly school groups. The wait time was less than 5 minutes per ride, so we were able to ride all the rides we wanted to and then repeat those that we really liked. I rode most of the rides but once I went on the Boomerang, I was done for a while. I was so dizzy and disoriented that I had to pick my rides very carefully. Vale went on most of the rides that I wouldn't. Vale decided that on his way out that he wanted to ride his favorite... the Silver Bullet twice. I rode it when we got there and then decided not to repeat that experience. This is why:

Although it had a queasy end, Vale dubbed it The Best Day Ever!
